About Cesar Torres
Cesar Torres is a dedicated classical guitarist and music teacher with a strong educational foundation and extensive teaching experience. He holds both a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from California State University, Fullerton, graduating with the highest academic honors. His expertise in classical guitar is complemented by his experience in curriculum development, performance organization, and audition preparation, which he has applied in various educational settings, including Ontario High School and the Tchaikovsky School of Music. Cesar’s passion for music education is evident in his innovative teaching methods and his ability to engage with students of all ages and skill levels, fostering a love for music in each of them.
In addition to his teaching roles, Cesar has studied under some of the most distinguished guitarists in the world, including Grammy Award-winning guitarist Andrew York and Guitar Foundation of America President Martha Masters. His dedication to his craft has earned him recognition, such as selection for the Guitar Foundation of America’s National Mentorship Program and the opportunity to premiere a new work commissioned by the same organization. Beyond the classroom, Cesar regularly contributes to the musical community through guest lectures and live performances, enriching the cultural landscape. Cesar’s commitment to both his own growth and the development of his students makes him a valuable asset to the musical community and to the world of music education.
